‘Rounder’, the latest single from Essex quartet SuperGlu may only clock in at just under 2 and half minutes, but it is packed full of joyful harmonies and 60’s pop sensibilities.

From the first few bars I defy you not to be nodding your head in appreciation and strumming along to the near perfect jangly guitar riffs. The 2nd chorus bridge seems to dare you to not sing-a-long with its irresistible melodies and shout-able lyrics in “My love is upside down, its inside out, its round and round”.

A simply glorious slice of indie punk rock which should grace any spring/summer playlist.

SuperGlu’s latest EP ‘Horse’, is out now via Antigen Records.

Words by Steven Farkas
