London based Chiara Hunter gives us a powerful funk driven pop song with her debut single ‘Strange Relationships’.

Describing herself as future funk / power pop, Hunter fuses funk throwback sensibilities; echoing the likes of Prince but with enough of a forward looking vibe to make it seem like a genre in itself and not just an homage, similar to the likes of Kimbra and Lionbabe.

It has a chorus that you’ll have stuck in your head for hours listen and includes some impressive percussion throughout.

Chiara Hunter is currently in the studio writing songs with big names such as Snakehips and Bearcubs which would suggest some very interesting results might be on their way.
