Hailing from Kent, House producer Apres pays tribute to the genre’s heritage with new track ‘Chicago‘. The track’s intro is subsumed by the inimitable sound of Chuck Roberts’ ‘My House’ speech. The impassioned, egalitarian mantra gives way to a Chicago House-style synth beat, while echoes of that instantly-recognisable Candi Staton arpeggio are present throughout.

It’s testament to the young DJ and Falmouth University student’s talent that something created in Cornwall can sound like it came straight from 1980s Chicago! Having already worked with the likes of Bambusa Records, Eton Messy and Bondax, Apres will no doubt slot perfectly into the UK’s already-burgeoning House scene.
