SAMUEL FORD

Today’s tip comes from Samuel Ford, a singer-songwriter hailing from Sussex.

Crafting a unique blend of Thom Yorke-esque vocal delivery alongside sporadic drum stabs reminiscent of the likes of Alt-J, Ford produces intricate murky pop songs like ‘Ballet’, breezing unexpectedly from uplifting melancholy to impending doom in an instant, with thought-provoking songwriting that belies his short lifespan.

Ford is due to release his debut EP later this month, and is already gaining mass recognition from the likes of XFM and Communion, alongside racking up a number of festival dates for the summer.
