‘Look Up’ by David O’Dowda is suited perfectly to bedtime listening. I can vouch for this because I am writing this tip at around midnight on a Sunday night, and it’s providing a perfect soundtrack and getting me ready for the week ahead.

Time is a big motif within ‘Look Up’, as the sound of a clock ticking is implemented which gives the song a dreamy, cinematic edge.

Luscious and delicate vocals are at the core of the track, alongside soft pianos and subtle and minimal percussive touches. There’s not much online about David O’Dowda, but we do know that he is an Irish composer and multi-instrumentalist currently residing in Manchester.
