In one of those lovely moments where the right song hits you at the exact right moment and leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, today’s track really caught me off guard.

Formed in the Sunset district of San Francisco, thanks to a student exchange program, Treasureseason first emerged in 2012 with the release of their debut EP ‘Ocean Beach’ before returning to their native UK and Sweden homes to finish their university degrees.’ In the time since their debut EP, the band have been working hard, focusing on crystallizing their sound.

The result is ‘Archipelago’ – a glistening, sun-drenched slab of dream pop.

Emerging from the sweet sounds of birds tweeting, on what I can only imagine is a gloriously sunny morning; Archipelago contains an immediate warmth that is irresistible. Percussion and organ twinkle like the stars in the hazy night sky you’re imagining whilst listening, as Ida Olsson’s delicate, haunting vocals flit and flirt with soft, bright melodies and hugging bass lines.

One to treasure, regardless of the season.
