The splendid lo-fi tones of Tea Leigh have been attractively airbrushed in this new, studio version of ‘Rushing In’. Still sporting its effortlessly endearing folk penchants on its sleeve however, the track manages to far outclass its respective demo form and boasts a warmer production and primed musicianship that features layered vocals and a melodically enhanced closing section.

Channelling Feist and Joanna Newsome in her dream-like vocal; Tea Leigh, who has recently teamed up with Luke Reed to work on new material, has significantly raised her game here, and if it’s delicate styling and open-diary lyrics you’re after then look no further than ‘Rushing In’.
